Muller Filter
Muller Filter
Muller Filter is the result of over 40 years of expertise in the development and manufacturing of original filters. It positions itself as a key, independent European supplier of Original Equipment (OE) products and components, offering original-quality filters for more than 2,200 types of oil, fuel, air, and cabin filters. This range covers approximately 98% of applications for European and Asian passenger cars and light commercial vehicles.
The advantages of being a family-owned company allow Muller Filter to access a swift decision-making process and respond quickly and flexibly to changing market conditions.
Oil Filters
Muller oil filters are engineered and produced utilizing filter media composed of 100% cellulose fibers, strictly conforming to the specifications of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). They are primarily offered in two configurations: the metallic oil filter, which necessitates complete replacement at the end of its service life, or the metal-free paper filter (cartridge), where only the internal cartridge is replaced, as the housing is permanently mounted within the engine. The core functions of these filters involve mitigating abrasion, scoring, and preventing premature failure of engine components, while simultaneously capturing all particulate matter and contaminants suspended within the oil, such as dust, abraded metal, carbon deposits, and soot particles. Furthermore, they facilitate the removal of combustion byproducts entering the oil sump. Secondary functions include thermal regulation (cooling) by absorbing and transferring heat away from the engine, and sealing by maintaining lubrication films on the rings between the liner and the piston, thereby ensuring optimal engine performance.
Air Filters
Muller Filter adheres to the latest technologies in the manufacturing of air filters, complying with the requirements of automotive manufacturers. This category encompasses various types, including panel, circular, and cylindrical air filters, and is characterized by a filtration rate ranging from 10 to 30 microns. Their primary functions revolve around achieving high purification of the air entering the engine combustion chamber to ensure an optimal air-fuel mixture. Furthermore, the air filter elements prevent abrasion, premature breakage, and damage to valves, cylinders, and rings by retaining scratch-inducing contaminants such as dust and dirt, while also exhibiting a high capacity for separating water from the air.
Cabin Air Filters
Muller cabin filters (AC filters) are manufactured using a synthetic material known as Nonwoven instead of cellulose to ensure high filter efficiency and maximum protection against contaminants, dust, bacteria, and fungi. Cabin filters made from carbon fibers also provide enhanced protection against unpleasant odors and harmful vapors from the atmosphere and vehicle exhaust fumes. Muller AC filters guarantee that no particle larger than 0.3 microns will pass through, achieving a minimum efficiency of 95% for particles ranging between 0.5 and 3 microns.
Fuel Filters
Muller fuel filters, designed for both gasoline and diesel engines, are typically manufactured utilizing filter media based on cellulose fibers. These filters cover multiple categories and applications, conforming to the requirements of automotive manufacturers according to the latest industrial standards. Their primary functions include preventing abrasion and premature failure of fuel injection system components, retaining all suspended particles or contaminants such as dust and rust, and eliminating water generated from fuel tank condensation.
